Need The Motivation to Score an A1 on Your O level Chemistry Exam? Read This

Let’s not skirt around the truth: studying is not the most fun activity in the world. I can bet you every dollar I have saved up that instead of cracking open your textbook, you’d rather be hanging out with your friends, or playing video games, or scrolling through Instagram. I’m sure you can think of literally a hundred other more fun things to do than study. This is even truer when it comes to chemistry because everyone knows chemistry is one of the most challenging subjects ever.

If you’re finding yourself lacking the motivation to study for your O level chemistry exam, or if you’re still up late poring over your notes and you feel that your eyelids are about as heavy as two chunks of osmium, fret not. Read on, and let me tell why you should keep going.
Let’s start with a truth: studying chemistry is important. I mean that in two ways. The first one is just looking at it practically. Chemistry is an essential subject that you have to go through, whether you like it or not, to advance in your studies and eventually succeed in life. It is present in almost every curriculum, so don’t even think about it leaving the country just to evade it. Also, it doesn’t matter where you want to end up in or what profession you would like to take further down the road. You will still have to study chemistry.
That’s not to say that chemistry is just a pointless hurdle on your way to success. If it is, then it wouldn’t be in the curriculum. Here’s why is more than just a subject.
Going by Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definition of chemistry, it is “a science that deals with the composition, structure, and properties of substances and with the transformations that they undergo.” I know you already know that definition by heart, but try not to think about it as just words, and look around you. Try to count the things you see that are possible because of chemistry. Look at the soap that keeps you clean and at the cup of coffee that keeps you awake. Look at the snacks that you munch on that gives you bursts of energy. Best of all, look at your body and your organs that keep you alive. All these and much more are made possible because of substances and their chemical reactions to one another. Chemistry is all around us. Not only is studying it inescapable, but it itself is inescapable as well.
“Now why,” you must be asking, “would I be motivated after learning that?”

Because, dear student, to understand chemistry is to understand life. Chemistry can explain everything – from how we’re created, to who we become, to how we feel at any given moment, and up until how we die and decompose. To deprive yourself of a subject that can explain life in its entirety would be the same as depriving yourself of life itself. Are you motivated now? Great! Now get back to studying at Achievers chemistry tuition, and go get that A1.
